A reproducible catalog snapshot
2026 Resort Research Coverage Report: What Our Public Catalog Actually Documents
On 2026-10-13, ResortFinder’s publicly discoverable catalog contained 726 resorts across 26 country codes. We counted the presence of five research fields to show what travelers can find and where gaps remain. These are coverage statistics, not ratings of the resorts or claims about all resorts worldwide.
By ResortFinder · Published · Updated
Produced by ResortFinder from the public catalog and the same normalized detail records used by our profiles. Each resort counts once. Held or undiscoverable catalog records are excluded. A recorded field indicates available research, not independent verification, freshness or service quality.
How much research is present?
The denominator below is the public discovery catalog on the snapshot date. A missing field means that this structured part of our research is absent; it does not mean the resort lacks the amenity. A resort can have restaurants without a stored menu document, or rooms without published room-category research.
| Field counted | Public profiles with the field |
|---|---|
| Recorded official website URL | 331 of 726 (45.6%) |
| Food lens with a written summary | 726 of 726 (100.0%) |
| Beach lens with a written summary | 724 of 726 (99.7%) |
| At least one listed room category | 418 of 726 (57.6%) |
| At least one listed menu document | 58 of 726 (8.0%) |
What each measure means
An official website URL is counted when the normalized record contains one. Food and beach guidance require non-empty written lens summaries. Room coverage requires at least one structured category or editorial category name. Menu coverage requires at least one document entry.
These definitions are intentionally about recorded information. We did not test website uptime, validate every menu, visit every property or establish that a description is current for your travel week. Food and beach summaries are AI-assisted research and may need correction.

Download and reproduce the counts
The downloadable CSV contains one row per included resort, its slug, name, country code and five yes/no coverage flags. Count the yes values in each column to reproduce the first table. All columns refer to this dated snapshot; future catalog updates may differ.
Dataset SHA-256: 070e393746acbce014d4da92b372590e2b3a7ab2f5d1efc7443c5b8a79ef7bbc. The report generator is scripts/build-research-coverage.ts in the ResortFinder repository. The snapshot is updated deliberately when we publish a new analysis rather than redated on every site build.
Use the gaps to ask better booking questions
When a profile lacks a menu or room-category detail, ask the resort or an advisor for current documentation. When a lens summary exists, read its caveats and original sources rather than treating a present field as a quality certification.
We welcome corrections to the research. A transparent gap is more useful than presenting an unverified detail as certain.
