Why travelers love it

Guests consistently praise the pristine beach and helpful staff. The location is central and walkable to Varadero attractions.

Best for beach loversBest for families

Food & drink

Weak

Food is the resort's biggest weak spot: buffet variety is thin, quality inconsistent, and complaints of stale or spoiled items recur. Two à la carte options (Le Bistro and Le Bamboo) provide a modest upgrade at dinner.

Dining details coming soon.

Beach

Strong

The beach is the clearest bright spot: classic Varadero sand, uncrowded, with loungers reliably available.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Strong

The pool area is pleasant and never short on loungers, and hosts a well-liked evening show.

Detailed pool reporting coming soon.

Rooms & suites

365 rooms

Approximately 365 rooms including suites and standard rooms over seven floors with elevator access. Rooms are clean but dated; maintenance issues frequently reported.

Room details here are AI-assisted, compiled from the resort's own website and public sources. Categories and names change often — confirm the exact room when you book.

What’s included

Mixed

Priced honestly for what it is: an older Varadero property where the beach and staff carry the value, not the rooms or food.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

A workable but unromantic pick for couples: the main building is attractive, the beach uncrowded, and evening shows charming, but dated rooms and food issues undercut the mood.

Families

Stretch

Families are split: the animation team runs games that work for all ages, but multiple parents flag little kid-specific food and run-down rooms.

Peace & Quiet

Strong

The vibe leans calm rather than party: the beach is notably uncrowded and evenings center on dance troupes and pool shows rather than loud club scenes.

Paid Wi‑Fi, fitness center, spa with sauna, hairdresser, shops, garden. Family activities available.

What past guests say

“You should know that there are a lot of COCKROACHES in this hotel. The main restaurant is full of them, they are literally everywhere. Especially on the island with the cold cuts and desserts, they are crawling in the food. Small, big and huge ones. Once we came for dinner and we couldn't find a table without a cockroach on it. One was sitting just on the fork. The food is not covered and the stuff doesn't care. I'm actually surprised that nobody talks about it here in the rewievs. That was...”

“The beach is the nicest thing about this place!”

“I just arrived from the Playa Caribe Beach Hotel, and compared to this one, this one is useless. Everything is very old and run-down, as is the entire hotel. The only thing that stood out was the good service... I just arrived and I already want to leave.”

“We traveled to this hotel last year and will not return. Warning, this is a long comment. I'll start with the good. The architecture of the hotel is great. I loved how it wasn't like a regular Hotel. For me it was beautiful. Now the bad: Food was not fresh it was clearly old. The rice was bitter, how old does rice have to be to become bitter. Most of the food my wife and I ate, we did not like the taste. Everyday they had some fruit out that was bad. All the elevators don't work. Hot water...”

“I am currently staying at the hotel. The only excellent service was at reception. The restaurant was terrible; the food was acceptable, but the service was the worst. It was awful. What need do these children have to receive and be nurtured with better wisdom and attention? The rooms were terrible, and the service was appalling.”

What you should know

What to Know

Come for the beach and the price, not the polish: the property is dated, maintenance is hit-or-miss, and food should not be the reason you book.
