Decameron - Decameron San Luis — all travelers all-inclusive in San Andres, Colombia. Detailed editorial coming soon.

Food & drink

Strong

Food is plentiful and generally praised as delicious, with a mix of local Colombian and international dishes, but variety wears thin over a longer stay and reservations for à la carte venues are a hassle.

Dining overview

Three dining venues are available: one buffet-style restaurant serving international and local cuisine, and two à la carte restaurants specializing in pasta and seafood. Reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants.

Beach

Strong

The beach directly out front is a highlight: clear water, visible fish, and sandy stretches, though storm damage has left rocky patches and seating is scarce.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Mixed

Three pools plus a kiddie pool give options, but they run small, get crowded, and access rules (not all pools open to all guests) frustrate some.

Editorial pool rating

The resort has three adult pools and one children’s pool with a laid‑back, family‑friendly vibe and evening shows taking place poolside

Rooms & suites

239 rooms

233 rooms in Standard and Standard Sea View categories. All rooms feature air conditioning and a television, while some rooms include a balcony.

What’s included

Strong

Priced as a mid-tier all-inclusive and it delivers accordingly: solid food, warm staff, and a peaceful beach for the money, provided you don't expect polished international-chain finishes.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

A homey, low-key pick for couples who want quiet over glamour; honeymooners have raved, but dated rooms and inconsistent service can dent a milestone trip.

Families

Good fit

Marketed as family-friendly and many families enjoy the calm, fish-filled shoreline, but missing kid basics like high chairs and some cleanliness slips frustrate parents.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

This is the quiet Decameron: set on tranquil San Luis away from the downtown bustle, ideal for guests who prize rest over resort theatrics.

Typical Antillean architecture set among palm and mangrove landscaping; three bars, souvenir shop, tennis court, excursions desk, evening shows; access to sister Decameron hotels

What past guests say

“The bedroom curtain was very dirty, and the room smelled quite musty. The hotel service leaves much to be desired, although some staff members are friendly and provide good service. They need to significantly improve room cleanliness and customer service, as some employees are occasionally rather rude to guests. Overall, the experience was mediocre. While there were some positive aspects, I wouldn't choose this hotel again.”

“The use of loudspeakers is terrible. I don't understand what the guests' competition is for using such high volume. It's a place to have fun and relax, but everything should be done respectfully.”

“Excellent service, spectacular room, and very good food.”

“Everything is nice, but the problem is the charge they make for using the hotel for one day. They give you the rooms at 3 pm, but if you arrive early, they charge you extra per person to use the restaurant and other services. I don't think that's right. You pay for a day, and you can wait without any problem as long as you can use the services mentioned.”
