Food & drink

Strong

Seven restaurants deliver genuine variety, from the PureOcean buffet to Sea Breeze and poolside pizza at Slice, with cooking that punches above the mid-range price point. Service can drag during peak hours and the odd empty buffet tray shows up when the resort is understaffed.

Dining overview

Seven eateries and three bars including beachfront buffet, poolside grill, rooftop bar, grab‑and‑go café; all‑inclusive option exists though some venues like Mix at Oceans not included

Beach

Standout

Little Bay is the headline: a private, curved, sandy cove with clear water, no drop-off, and virtually no sargassum, widely called the best beach on the island. Covered loungers are free and first-come-first-served.

Editorial beach rating

White‑sand beach on a private peninsula, turquoise calm water, loungers and umbrellas provided, volleyball and cornhole set up, snorkeling possible

Pools

Standout

Multiple pools including a stunning hillside infinity pool with bay views, plus a separate adults-only section and swim-up bar. Consistently among the most praised features of the resort.

Editorial pool rating

Three ocean‑view pools including one infinity edge and one with swim‑up bar, plus Casita pool with cabanas and relaxed vibe

Swim-up bar

Rooms & suites

Variety includes beachfront rooms, suites with kitchens, luxury casitas and a three‑bedroom penthouse; Oceans tier offers upgraded amenities like Nespresso, robes, VIP service

What’s included

Strong

For the setting, beach, and variety of venues, the tiered all-inclusive pricing is reasonable and repeat guests come back for decades. When staffing thins, though, the experience dips well below the price tag and mistakes on the bill have hit some guests hard.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

A relaxed, romantic setting with hillside ocean-view suites, an adults-only pool area, and a calm bay that consistently earns anniversary and honeymoon praise. It leans quiet-and-scenic rather than sultry-luxury, so expect warmth over polish.

Families

Good fit

Little Bay's shallow, wave-free water is genuinely one of the safest swim setups in the Caribbean, and kids roam the grounds happily between pools, beach, and the pizza shack. Multi-room suites with kitchens make it especially workable for families who want space.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

This is a calm, low-key beach resort where the loudest sound is often the surf on the patio. Entertainment exists at Gizmo's for those who want it, but the overall pace is peaceful and residential.

“Brought a group of people to see the old fort (like we have every year). We usually walk in and get a short ride on one of the many golf carts and tip out the drivers. Once done with the fort, we make sure to spend about $50 per person (10 of us) at their bar to give money and say a “thanks” for the courteous ride and service. This also gave our group the opportunity to see the resort and book there in following years. This year, we were met by a fairly rude person at the main gate then an...”

“Nice beach and decent rooms, but service and location fell short. Divi Little Bay isn’t a terrible resort, but it’s important to understand what kind of experience you’re booking. The biggest consideration is whether to purchase the all-inclusive plan. If you don’t, your choices are to pay the resort’s fairly expensive restaurant prices or leave the property for meals. The restaurant food was average, and taking a taxi to many of the better dining areas costs around $40 round trip. The...”

What you should know

What to Know

You will sign a receipt for every drink and snack even on all-inclusive, and staffing shortages ripple into housekeeping, restaurant waits, and front-desk mix-ups. Verify your folio carefully at checkout and consider a rental car, since walking to Philipsburg is not advised and there is no shuttle.
