Food & drink
WeakMeals are cafeteria-style, home-cooked basics served three times a day, and the kitchen runs out of things regularly. Fresh fish and the occasional lobster are the bright spots; expect canned beans at breakfast and dressing-less salads.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Fresh fish when available
- Occasional lobster night
- Home-cooked simple meals
Heads up
- Repetitive limited menu
- Bar runs out of beer, rum, ice
- Food often served cold
- No à la carte options
Dining details coming soon.

Beach
StandoutThe only real reason to book: you are directly on Seven Mile Beach with white sand, clear warm water, and a stroll to Negril's better bars and restaurants. The resort's own beach frontage, though, is narrow and short on loungers.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Directly on Seven Mile Beach
- White sand, crystal-clear water
- Walkable to nearby cafes and bars
- Water sports available
Heads up
- Narrow beach frontage for the resort
- Loungers scarce and some broken
- Security reportedly reserves loungers for tips
Detailed beach reporting coming soon.
Pools
WeakDo not count on the pool. It has been out of service for extended stretches, sometimes opening only a single day of a full week.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Pool exists on property
Heads up
- Frequently closed for days at a time
- No swim-up service in practice
- No whirlpool despite listings
What’s included
MixedPriced like the budget stay it is: around $60 a night gets you a bed steps from Seven Mile Beach. Calling it all-inclusive is a stretch given the shortages, but as a cheap beach base it delivers.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Rock-bottom nightly rates
- Prime Seven Mile Beach location
- Friendly, hardworking staff
Heads up
- All-inclusive label overpromises
- Frequent shortages of booze and basics
- Rooms feel closer to motel than 3-star
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.
Amenities & activities
Couples
Not a fitA budget beach shack with dated rooms, plumbing issues, and no romantic infrastructure. Fine only for low-maintenance couples who care about location over ambiance.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Steps from Seven Mile Beach
- Cheap enough for long stays
- Quiet after 10pm
Heads up
- Dated, basic rooms
- Hot water intermittent
- No romantic dining or ambiance
Families
Not a fitRooms can sleep multiple people cheaply and the beach is right there, but cleanliness complaints, broken fixtures, and a frequently closed pool make this a hard sell for families.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Large beds fit multiple sleepers
- Beach steps away
- Low nightly rate
Heads up
- Reports of dirty rooms
- Pool often closed
- No kids programming or amenities
Peace & Quiet
StrongAn older crowd and minimal entertainment keep things calm; noise drops off after 10pm. If peaceful evenings on Seven Mile matter more than nightlife, the vibe fits.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Quiet between 10pm and 8am
- Older guest demographic
- No loud entertainment program
Heads up
- Beach itself can get crowded early

“I booked this resort, confirmed my room 2 days before departure. When I got there we were told we were being shipped off to a sister hotel down the road. They had overbooked the hotel and were dumping us off at a dump. I have traveled to Jamaica 10 times and have never been treated like this. The resort we were sent to was disgusting, dirty rooms, only one choice of food for meals, staff did not care at all. I called sunwing to help us and eventually we got the oceanfront room I had booked...”

“I booked a stay at Fun Holiday Beach Resort knowing it was an older, budget-friendly property, so I kept my expectations realistic. I wasn’t expecting a luxury resort, but I did expect basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. Unfortunately, my experience was much worse than I anticipated. I booked two rooms, and both had multiple issues. One room had no towels upon arrival, and the toilet was dirty and heavily stained with rust. The bed sheets had holes in them, which was...”

“The only positive thing is the location!! The hotel is a wreck! They lacked everything, the food was awful 🤢 it's always the same thing! No bottled water! No beach towels, old beach chairs, dirty pool, broken and disgusting hot tub, rotten picnic table, and lots of stuff lying around on the beach like completely destroyed wooden platforms, good for nothing but burning!! Tiny beach with just a few palapas. We were constantly being approached every 5 minutes to buy something! I would never go...”

“The rooms are dated, and the plumbing needs updating. But none of this matters, as the hotel has a great location! The beautiful beach is just a few steps from your room. The water is crystal clear and warm, and the sand is white. Sun loungers are available under a canopy. The staff will cater to any requests, and you can order fruit, which they'll bring from town. There are no shops nearby, only cafes. Excursions are available. There are also plenty of water activities, including boats,...”

“The room is definitely outdated. We didn't request housekeeping, but towels, paper towels, and soap were always provided. The air conditioning worked. Hot water wasn't always available. The TV worked, and the internet worked both in the room and throughout the property. The location is a huge plus! The beach is a half-minute walk away. It's a gorgeous 7-mile beach with crystal-clear, warm water. There were hardly any people there. The pool was out of service. The staff was helpful and all...”
