Why travelers love it

“Cycladic‑style adults‑only beachfront resort with access to sister property amenities”

Guests consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff, the clean contemporary design and architecture, and convenience of direct beach access with access to Royal Solaris facilities

Food & drink

Mixed

À la carte venues like the Italian and Marco Polo Asian earn steady praise, but the buffet is inconsistent and reservations are capped, leaving some meals feeling like a letdown.

Dining overview

Three on‑site restaurants: buffet breakfast at Cafe Solaris, a‑la‑carte Mexican/seafood at Bogavante, dinner at Italian Veneto; plus Snack Caribe and 24‑hour room service. Guests may also use dining options at Royal Solaris next door

Beach

Standout

The beach is a genuine highlight: clean, swimmable, and framed by strong ocean views right off the property.

Direct beach access with lounge chairs; seaweed reported at times; swimming conditions vary; beach noted as nice but natural factors like sargassum may impact experience

Pools

Strong

The Caribe pool is the social heart of the resort, kept lively by entertainers Israel and Alejandra with yoga, bachata, and water aerobics, plus plenty of shade.

Editorial pool rating

Main pool with cushioned lounge chairs and cabanas, two ocean‑front hot tubs, and poolside food and drink service; access to additional pools at Royal Solaris next door

Rooms & suites

200 rooms

About 200 contemporary Cycladic‑style rooms without balconies; upgraded units offer sunken sitting area and ocean or lagoon views; minibar, coffeemaker, rainfall showers included

What’s included

Strong

For a mid-tier adults-only in the Hotel Zone, the price-to-experience ratio lands well when things go right, but overbooking and inconsistent food cause some guests to feel shortchanged.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Ideal

An adults-only, Cycladic-styled retreat that consistently delivers for anniversaries and quiet couple time, with a calm elegant vibe and beachfront rooms.

Families

Not a fit

Caribe itself is adults-only, but the sister Royal Solaris next door is family-friendly and accessible, so multi-gen groups can split the difference.

Peace & Quiet

Strong

One of the calmer picks in the Hotel Zone: adults-only, elegant, and geared to relaxation, though mid-day pool parties can crank the music.

On‑site: mini‑golf, tennis courts, fitness center, boutique, marina with water sports, landscaped gardens. Additional amenities (spa, gym, shows) available at Royal Solaris via access rights

Full-service spaWi-Fi (paid upgrade)

“One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Upon check-in, we were immediately approached by a salesperson offering us a membership. We tried to get a snack at the pool bar, and the employee rudely told us they were out of stock. Dinner is a real struggle unless you go to the buffet at the hotel next door. The air conditioning in the room we were given didn't work; we had to speak to the manager to get a different room. And by the way, there was no hot water from 10 am to 4 pm. There are...”

“This is a hotel style resort. Room was good. Food was good, especially the beach restaurant. Patio bar was nice. Lobby bar was average. "Hidden bar" missed the mark. The phone booth entry should have brought you to a speakeasy style lounge not a strange combo of loud dance music and sports on the TVs. It was noticeably quieter than the family friendly building next door which you also have access to.”
