Food & drink

Mixed

Expect simple, honest Mexican buffet cooking with a genuinely good à la carte and standout bartenders, not a gourmet showcase. Variety is limited, especially for kids, vegetarians, and seafood lovers.

Dining overview

All‑inclusive includes three restaurants, a snack area and Cascada Bar serving Mexican and international cuisine. Buffet breakfast and dinner plus open‑bar service to midnight

Beach

Mixed

The resort is not beachfront; a short walk or complimentary shuttle gets you to a decent sand stretch with loungers, umbrellas, and a bar. The beach club itself is bare-bones with no bathrooms and no food service.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Strong

The large, well-tempered pool is the true center of the resort, with attentive poolside service from David, Eric, and Carlos. Just expect a late opening while staff finish cleaning.

Editorial pool rating

Single heated free‑form pool plus small kids pool centrally located surrounded by lounge chairs and snack bar

Rooms & suites

Rooms are Mexican‑inspired with patios or balconies, décor is dated and simple. Some renovated bathrooms. Traffic noise possible from highway location

What’s included

Strong

Widely called the best value-for-money all-inclusive in the hotel zone, provided you book it knowing it's a budget property with dated rooms. Set expectations to 'affordable and friendly' and you'll leave happy.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

A calm, affordable pick for low-key couples who want relaxed evenings and early nights, not a romance-forward resort. Dated rooms and basic cocktails mean younger couples chasing polish should look elsewhere.

Families

Good fit

A genuinely family-friendly hacienda with warm staff who dote on babies and kids, though the kids' food selection is thin and one specialty restaurant excludes children. Best for laid-back families, not those needing kids' club spectacle.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

One of the calmest all-inclusives in the Puerto Vallarta hotel zone: small footprint, no lines, entertainment done by 10pm. Perfect for readers, nappers, and early sleepers.

Features include a spa with temazcal, kids club, tour desk, shuttle to beach, 24‑hour medical service, computer/internet access, and evening entertainment

“It's a small, family-run hotel, quite nice, and in a good location. Good points: 1- The manager is very friendly. We had a problem with our reservation, and while we waited, she let us go in for a meal. 2- One evening, a versatile band played, and the show was good. 3- The food is delicious, the sauces are amazing, and the snacks are very tasty, especially the hamburgers. 4- They take care of the local wildlife (iguanas). 5- Although the hotel isn't right on the beach, it's very close. They...”

“A charming old hotel with a hacienda theme. The facilities are very clean, offering an all-inclusive package, and the quality is excellent for the price. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and the pool is very clean with warm water. It's in a great location near the boardwalk, shops, and a supermarket. The facilities are working perfectly, including internet, cable TV, and hot and cold water. Definitely recommended.”

“Terrible emergency management and disregard for their own policies. We had to check out early due to Hurricane Simon. Although the Booking.com confirmation specified a "Hurricane Policy" guaranteeing certificates/refunds for early departures, the hotel refused to honor it. Furthermore, they offered evacuation transportation but there weren't enough seats, leaving us stranded and forcing us to cover our own transportation and lodging expenses. They have no empathy or support for guests in...”

“"You get what you pay for." This hotel is in terrible condition. It smells bad, the food is awful, the atmosphere is terrible, and worst of all, the service. Nowhere in Mexico have I been treated as well as I was by Mrs. Montserrat and Francisco Ramirez at the restaurant. We left the next day.”

What you should know

What to Know

This is a small, older hacienda-style property with charm baked in and rough edges to match: dated rooms, off-beach location, and an active timeshare pitch at check-in. Come for calm and value, not sparkle.
