Family‑friendly all‑ages resort with a Nickelodeon water park and gourmet inclusive dining
Food & drink
MixedFood is the resort's biggest miss: half the restaurants close on rotation each night, the buffet gets crowded, and character breakfasts carry a $35–50 upcharge. Breakfast is the reliable bright spot, dinner is where families struggle.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Breakfast buffet has strong variety and healthy options
- Egg station and coffee bar praised
- Italian restaurant is a consistent standout
- Attentive breakfast servers (Elisa, Dominga, Arianna)
Heads up
- Multiple restaurants closed each night on rotation
- Long waits and reservation scrambles for à la carte
- Character breakfasts cost $35–50 extra per person
- Reports of food poisoning and cold room-service dishes
Dining details coming soon.
Beach
MixedThe beach is pleasant but secondary to the pools and water park, and several guests found it underwhelming for a resort marketed as five-star. Fine for a stroll or a drink, not the reason to book.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Pretty stretch of Punta Cana sand
- Nick Bistro lunch on the beach patio is a highlight
- Generally calm swim conditions for kids
Heads up
- Not impressive compared to nearby Punta Cana resorts
- Limited beach service and adult amenities
- Feels like an afterthought vs. the water park
Detailed beach reporting coming soon.
Pools
StandoutPools are the real headline: multiple options, safe zones for kids, and the Aqua Nick water park anchoring the property. Service at pool bars is generally warm, with a few exceptions.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Aqua Nick water park is exceptional
- Multiple pools for different ages
- Swim-up bar service (Luis, Jazmin) frequently praised
- Safe shallow areas for young children
Heads up
- Water park needs visible maintenance in spots
- Fresco/Jazmin pool bar service inconsistent

What’s included
MixedPriced at luxury tier but delivering closer to mid-market outside the water park. Repeat guests and first-timers alike call out the gap between cost and experience, with too many core inclusions carrying surprise upcharges.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Water park and kids club justify some of the spend
- Spa experiences feel genuinely premium
- Staff go out of their way despite operational gaps
Heads up
- Not close to a true 5-star experience
- Character breakfasts, slime shows, and photos all cost extra
- Comparable Punta Cana resorts cost less for more
- Maintenance issues (mold, loose tiles, roaches) reported
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.
Amenities & activities
Couples
Not a fitThis is a kid-first resort with little for adults beyond the spa. Couples without children will feel out of place, and even parents note there is not much romance or adult downtime.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Spa massages and treatments earn strong praise
- Kids club frees parents for occasional alone time
Heads up
- Very little adult-focused programming
- Noisy, character-driven atmosphere throughout
- No quiet adult-only zones of note
Families
Good fitBuilt entirely around kids, with Aqua Nick water park, Club Nick, character meet-and-greets, and safe pools driving the fun. Execution is uneven: character sightings can be scarce and paid experiences add up fast.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Aqua Nick water park is a genuine highlight
- Club Nick staff bond well with kids
- Free character meet-and-greets when they happen
- Safe, varied pools for different ages
Heads up
- Best character interactions are paid add-ons
- No dedicated baby food or infant provisions
- Character sightings inconsistent day to day
- Limited kids menu options outside buffet
Peace & Quiet
WeakExpect a lively, character-driven, kid-dominated soundtrack across most of the property. Peaceful corners exist near the spa and adult pool areas, but this is not a retreat.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Spa area is a calm refuge
- Some pools feel relaxed during mid-day
Heads up
- Echoing noise reported inside rooms
- Constant entertainment and character events
- Water park energy carries across the resort
Includes Aqua Nick waterpark, spa, multiple pools, character experiences, Gourmet Inclusive dining, fitness, kids club, tennis

What past guests say
“One of the worst hotel and all-inclusive experiences I've ever had. They claim to have 11 restaurants, but only one is open on a rotating basis, and you have to be lucky to get a reservation if they're willing to take it and then honor it. Otherwise, you go straight to the buffet without complaint. There were 10 of us in 3 rooms, and on the 3rd day, we wanted to leave, even though we had 5 more days. As soon as you arrive, they try to sell you a timeshare; they have that organized, even...”

- Not impressive compared to nearby Punta Cana resorts
- Limited beach service and adult amenities
- Feels like an afterthought vs. the water park
What you should know
What to Know
Come prepared: characters and premium experiences are paid add-ons, restaurants rotate closures, and the resort app is critical but rarely explained at check-in. Book dining and character events the moment you arrive.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Butler and concierge service can smooth logistics when engaged early
Heads up
- Check-in and check-out lines can run over an hour
- Download the app immediately, staff won't mention it
- Character breakfasts, slime shows, and photos billed separately ($17 per photo)
- Restaurant closures rotate daily with no advance notice
- Reports of surprise in-room movie charges
- Bottled water only replenished in-room
- Roach and maintenance complaints in some rooms
Expect character meet‑and‑greet events; beach is Uvero Alto so relatively quiet; tipping optional but accepted; airport shuttle costs extra
