Oceanfront hillside resort with lush grounds, private terraces, and family-friendly amenities

Food & drink

Mixed

Food is solid but not spectacular: a decent buffet plus Italian, Mexican, and Mediterranean à la carte options, with roughly 60% included and the rest at surcharge. Variety is the recurring gripe, especially on longer stays.

Dining overview

Several restaurants offering Italian, Mexican, seafood and buffet-plus-à la carte options; some specialty items may cost extra under limited "Brisas Plan"

Beach

Standout

The private beach is the resort's headliner: clean, safe, and considered among the prettiest in Ixtapa, with plenty of shaded loungers and no vendor hassle.

Editorial beach rating

Private beach cove with clean sand, palapas, feels secluded and peaceful without vendors

Pools

Mixed

Multiple pools including an adults-only option and a kids pool, but cleanliness and maintenance have slipped, with dirty water and sharp tile complaints surfacing repeatedly.

Rooms & suites

416 rooms

Bright rooms built into a hillside, all with ocean-view terraces and hammocks, some feature private pools

What’s included

Mixed

Priced as all-inclusive but doesn't fully deliver on the promise: bottled water, premium wines, snacks, and many menu items carry extra charges, and restaurant access is capped per stay.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

A quiet, hillside setting with sea-view terraces and hammocks makes this a comfortable pick for anniversaries and low-key romantic getaways, though it lacks the polish of a dedicated couples resort.

Families

Good fit

A genuinely family-friendly vibe with a well-run Kids Club, a dedicated kids pool, and buffet pricing that doesn't charge for children. Baby-gear requests, though, are hit or miss.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

This is a rest-first resort tucked into jungle vegetation, deliberately low-key with minimal nighttime entertainment. If you want quiet, you'll find it; if you want a party, look elsewhere.

Includes fitness center, tennis courts, business center, children’s programs, 24-hour room service, spa services (per OTAs)

“I stayed for four days and checked out on Sunday. It's an iconic Mexican hotel, very beautiful but... old. Hurricane Simon had just passed through, my room had leaks, and one day when it rained, water seeped in through the shower enclosure. The air conditioning didn't cool well, and I suffered from the heat. The food exceeded my expectations; congratulations to the chefs! If something isn't there, they make it happen. The best thing is the fish, prepared in any way—it's a delicacy! The staff...”
