Lifestyle Tropical Beach Rst And Spa

Puerto Plata, DOAll travelers

1 / 2

Guests report complaints about value for money, Wi-Fi and connectivity, and noise levels, while noting upselling and timeshare practices as a watch-out, though the resort is considered best for families. Weak spot: Blue band access feels misleadingly limited.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Rst And Spa — all travelers all-inclusive in Puerto Plata, DO. Detailed editorial coming soon.

Food & drink

Mixed

Food is passable but repetitive, with the Brazilian, Mexican, and Asian à la cartes drawing the strongest praise and Bellini the weakest. Expect long morning lines to reserve dinners, and Blue band guests locked out of the best venues.

Dining details coming soon.

Beach

Mixed

The beach is a long walk or shuttle ride from most buildings, with the best strip gated off for VIP wristbands. Loungers are limited, some broken, and non-VIP guests often struggle to find a spot.

Detailed beach reporting coming soon.

Pools

Mixed

Multiple pools spread across the complex, with a fun swim-up bar scene led by Pedro and evening pool parties for those who catch them. Cracked cement, chair shortages, and no pool service for non-VIP wristbands drag the experience down.

What’s included

Weak

This is a fractional-ownership club dressed as an all-inclusive, and standard guests are treated as timeshare prospects rather than customers. Unless you buy a VIP band, expect dated rooms, blocked restaurants, and constant upselling.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Stretch

A lively, family-and-locals atmosphere with aggressive timeshare pressure makes this a rough pick for romance. Anniversary and honeymoon vibes are limited to the VIP beach and spa massages.

Families

Good fit

Kids genuinely enjoy the pools, games, and casual food, and the sprawling grounds give families room to roam. Just brace for check-in chaos, late dinner seatings, and long walks between activities.

Peace & Quiet

Mixed

Days feel surprisingly sleepy with minimal pool games or organized fun, then nights get loud with music blasting and drunk guests until late. It is neither a true party resort nor a peaceful retreat.

“Camelia Francisco is very efficient and attentive. I received excellent service from her.”

“Frequently ran out of hot water/didn’t have running water. Every golf cart was broken. No blow dryers worked in any room. Laundry was late. Excursions would say you’re going to be back at 3 pm and would bring you back at 5 pm. Really just felt like the whole place didn’t have a general manager or anyone to uphold standards.”

“Talk about insane rules! Pool closes at 7!!!! Can’t take any food to your room. Have to rent your room safe. Taxi can’t come get you in the main lobby. Bar closes at midnight, doesn’t open till 10. No restaurants that were available that had air conditioning. Of the 100’s of employees only found 3 that actually wanted to make my stay better. And God forbid you try to have a friend come see you $120 for a day pass. Rooms were as good as a motel 8. Please check my reviews I’m always wanting to...”

What you should know

What to Know

This is a members-first vacation club, so your wristband color dictates almost everything: which restaurants, which beach, which pool service. Book à la cartes the moment you check in, budget for a golf cart, and be ready to firmly decline the timeshare tour.
