Why travelers love it
“All‑inclusive beachfront resort with luxury suites and direct access to Playa del Carmen”
Guests consistently praise the staff service and its unbeatable location steps from Fifth Avenue and the Cozumel ferry. Many appreciate the quality dining and luxury in‑room amenities like whirlpool tubs and liquor dispensers.
Food & drink
StrongFood genuinely punches above the all-inclusive average, with Trattoria (Italian), Madre Mia, and Momo hibachi drawing repeat visits and a chef-guest calling the kitchen excellent. Breakfast spreads are generous and dietary needs are handled without fuss.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Trattoria and Madre Mia are standouts
- Momo hibachi a guest favorite
- Generous breakfast buffet
- Kitchen accommodates food intolerances
Heads up
- A few find buffet lunch/dinner underwhelming
- Small resort means limited restaurant count
Dining details coming soon.
Beach
WeakThere is essentially no beach at the resort itself, the water laps right up to the property and any sand disappears at high tide. A small public beach two minutes away is the workaround, but if beach is your priority, book elsewhere.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Small public beach a two-minute walk away
- Ocean swimming still possible
- Easy ferry access to Cozumel beaches
Heads up
- No usable beach at the resort at high tide
- Sargassum reported in season
- Photos online oversell the beach
White‑sand beachfront directly in front of resort with seasonal variability in width due to erosion and occasional sargassum presence
Pools
StrongWith only one main pool, it becomes the social heart of the resort, and standout servers like Perla, Daniella, and Ignacio make it feel personal. Sunbed scrambles and occasional cleanliness lapses are the trade-off.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Attentive poolside drink service
- Pool concierge helps with towels and shade
- Lively entertainment led by Bryan and team
- Swim-up bar on site
Heads up
- Only one pool
- Sunbed reservation scramble each morning
- Grout and tiles reported dirty at times
- Loud music not for everyone
One main outdoor pool with kids section and swim‑up bar
Rooms & suites
201 roomsBoutique‑scale suites (201 total) all include in‑room double whirlpool tubs, liquor dispensers, stocked mini‑bar, 24‑hour room service; categories include Deluxe Resort View, Superior Deluxe Partial Ocean View, Superior Deluxe Ocean View, Honeymoon Suite, Concierge Level, Sand Suite, Governor Suite

What’s included
MixedValue is the most polarizing part of the equation: loyalists feel treated like family and return yearly, while first-timers paying premium rates often feel the dated rooms and lack of beach do not match a 5-star price. Resort credits sound generous but come loaded with fees.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Repeat guests feel genuinely valued
- Food quality strong for all-inclusive
- Free Cancun airport shuttle included
- Spa and dining experiences elevate the stay
Heads up
- Rooms and exterior feel tired
- Resort credits come with hidden fees
- Massage and excursion pricing steep
- Some feel not close to 5-star at the price paid
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.
Amenities & activities
Couples
Good fitA romantic small-resort feel with attentive service, private terrace dinners, and easy walks to Fifth Avenue make this a strong pick for anniversaries and milestone trips. Expect intimacy over grandeur.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Special romantic terrace dinners arranged
- Walkable to Playa del Carmen nightlife
- Attentive, name-remembering staff
- Spa is a highlight
Heads up
- Property feels dated in places
- Not adults-only, kids and families present
Families
Good fitThe compact footprint is easy to navigate with kids and the playroom staff (Odette, Marta, Yarelis) earn glowing mentions. Just know rooms cap tightly and the beach is minimal, so plan around the pool.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Warm, creative playroom / kids club staff
- Small property easy to manage with strollers
- Walkable to Fifth Avenue shops
- Mix of families and couples on site
Heads up
- Family-of-four room configurations are tight
- Almost no beach for kids to play on
- Reported $300/day fee for outside babysitters
Peace & Quiet
StrongPeaceful by Riviera Maya standards, with a calmer pace than Cancun mega-resorts and quiet corners away from pool activities. The ferry horns next door and occasional loud pool music are the main intrusions.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Calmer alternative to Cancun strip
- Quiet lounge areas away from pool activities
- Open-air lobby bar is relaxing
- Small-resort intimacy
Heads up
- Ferry terminal horns audible
- Pool entertainment mic and music can get loud
Spa, fitness center, solarium, beauty salon, gift shop, tennis court, beach volleyball, bicycle tours, nightly entertainment, daily activities, non‑motorized water sports, unlimited phone calls to US/Canada/Mexico

★★★☆☆
“The staff's attention to detail is exceptional, and the service, food, and rooms are luxurious. Although we had a few minor issues during our stay, they always found a way to resolve them. One of these was the last-minute cancellation of our tour to Kuza, supposedly due to rain, even though that day was the sunniest of our stay. Because of the weather, we couldn't enjoy the Blue Beach as much as we had hoped, but we made the most of the hotel. Something I don't recommend is the membership...”

“He didn't reply, I only briefly stopped by the café to catch the ferry to Cozumel. The hotel is large, clean, airy, with a beautiful view. Good food.”

“It's an ideal place to relax, with comfortable rooms, excellent service, and quality food and drinks.”

What you should know
What to Know
This is a small, dated property that trades resort sprawl for a walk-to-Fifth-Avenue location, so calibrate expectations around size and beach. Expect a timeshare-style membership pitch on arrival and read the fine print on resort credits before assuming they cover much.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Free shuttle from Cancun airport
- Steps to Fifth Avenue and Cozumel ferry
- Small property means quick service
- Loyal repeat guests get recognized
Heads up
- Membership and credit pitch at check-in
