Why travelers love it

“Adults‑only luxury resort-within-a-resort in Cap Estate with exclusive amenities and full access to Royalton Saint Lucia”

Guests consistently praise the adults‑only ambience with exclusive beach, private infinity pool and the convenience of access to a wide variety of dining and the spa across the full Royalton complex

Food & drink

Mixed

The buffet is the reliable winner with fresh variety and a beloved jerk chicken food truck, but à la carte venues are inconsistent, with small portions, over-salted dishes and long waits at Hunter's Steakhouse. Armadillo is the standout table.

Beach

Strong

The beach is genuinely gorgeous with soft sand, calm water and easy chair availability, one of the property's strongest assets and the reason many overlook other flaws.

Editorial beach rating

Private section of a scenic white‑sand cove with cushioned loungers, rentable cabanas, beach bar and attentive service

Pools

Strong

Pool options are plentiful and well-maintained, with the Hideaway pool and swim-out suites the clear stars; bartenders like Victoria at the main pool keep the energy up.

Editorial pool rating

Guests enjoy an exclusive adults‑only infinity pool with submerged loungers, swim‑up bar and nearby whirlpool, in addition to full access to Royalton Saint Lucia’s pools

What’s included

Mixed

For the four-and-five-figure price tags being paid, the return is uneven: beautiful bones and beach, but tired rooms, service breakdowns and nickel-and-dime resort credit make many feel shortchanged.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

Honeymooners and anniversary couples with attentive butlers (Olivia, Fabian, Monique) rave about swim-out suites and beach sunset dinners, but service inconsistency and noise bleed from the family side dent the romance for others.

Families

Good fit

The main Royalton side runs a genuine family program with a kids club, splash area and water sports the teens and toddlers enjoy, though the Hideaway tower's adults-only branding blurs when kids spill into shared beach and pool zones.

Peace & Quiet

Mixed

Off-peak, the property feels calm with easy chair access and gentle breezes, but peak nights bring pounding club music across the resort and shared spaces fill with children, undercutting the Hideaway's adults-only promise.

Includes all‑inclusive access to spa, non‑motorized water sports, fitness classes, nightly entertainment, and unlimited a la carte dining across Royalton Saint Lucia

“This one the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Dirty furniture, tables are not wiped down, broken fixtures and rude staff. The cats own this property and I have a phobia of them. I’m a diabetic and called for room service, which if you’re lucky, takes 1hr and the menu is very limited. If you’re able to order, a lot of the items are “out of stock”. I called room service on the last night due to a long excursion and was told they would be there for n 45mns, they never showed. I called for...”

“This was a great resort with great and helpful staff. Nice views and nice pools. The only thing that can improve is the foods and drinks. The quality of the food for majority of restaurants such as Zen, the steakhouse and Grazie Italian restaurant was not the best; and very long wait times for entree's to arrive, majority of restaurants took over an hour to bring the food. And there wasn't a great selection for drinks to be honest. Also it is very far from the airport, takes about 1.5 to 2...”
