Telamar Resort — all travelers all-inclusive in Tela, Honduras. Detailed editorial coming soon.
Food & drink
MixedFood is the biggest flashpoint: some call it good, but repeat visitors say quality has slipped and one review outright suggests eating offsite. Expect basic hotel restaurant fare, not a culinary highlight.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Simple, family-friendly menu
- Some short stays report tasty meals
- Beachfront dining setting
Heads up
- Quality has declined over the years
- Restaurant food underwhelmed low-season visitors
- Little variety across meals
Dining details coming soon.
Beach
StrongThe beachfront location is the property's calling card, with easy access to a walkable stretch that leads to a small plaza of shops and restaurants. Service on the sand, though, runs on Tela time.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Directly on the beach
- Scenic walk to nearby plaza
- Familiar spot for returning Honduran travelers
Heads up
- Umbrellas and chairs slow to be set up
- Beach service can lag hours behind schedule
Detailed beach reporting coming soon.
Pools
StrongA pleasant pool for lounging beside the beach, mentioned positively but without fanfare. Think low-key dip, not swim-up bar scene.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Relaxed pool lounging
- Close to the beach
- Family-friendly atmosphere
Detailed pool reporting coming soon.
What’s included
MixedValue depends heavily on season and expectations: fine if you go in knowing it's a modest, aging property, disappointing if you expect a polished all-inclusive. Low-season stays in particular drew value complaints.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Beachfront location for the price
- Staff working hard with limited resources
- Reasonable for a family beach break
Heads up
- Low-season pricing felt off versus service delivered
- Food and entertainment lag the room rate
- Inconsistent front-desk experience
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.
Amenities & activities
Couples
StretchNothing here is built around romance: no adults-only zones, no standout dining, and service hiccups that would sour an anniversary trip. Fine for a low-key beachfront getaway, not a special-occasion pick.
low confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Beachfront setting for sunset walks
- Quiet stretches in low season
- Small plaza nearby for evening strolls
Heads up
- No adult-only areas or romance focus
- Entertainment is thin at night
- Front-desk service can be rude
Families
Good fitThis is where Telamar shines most: a laid-back, beachfront property that longtime Honduran visitors return to with kids. Just temper expectations on activities and food.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Great for family time on the beach
- Safe, clean grounds
- Pool and beach walk to nearby shops
- Multi-generational appeal
Heads up
- Limited kids entertainment and activities
- Food quality may not please picky eaters
Peace & Quiet
StrongLow-key and relaxed rather than lively, especially in low season. Peaceful if you want to read on the beach, dull if you want a party.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Relaxed, unhurried atmosphere
- Quiet beachfront
- Nature-forward setting
Heads up
- Little nighttime entertainment
- Can feel too sleepy for some

★★★★☆
“A pleasant place to spend a couple of nights. Inside the rooms (at least on the first floor) there's no way to stay connected; the Wi-Fi is nonexistent and the cell phone signal is weak. Furthermore, it's not a cheap place, and they adjust the bar and restaurant service to specific hours, making it somewhat difficult to eat or drink at your own pace. The staff is very friendly, but the pool area needs more shade or chairs. They also need to monitor the volume and type of music being played...”
