Food & drink

Strong

Two restaurants (Andrea and La Ribera) plus a burger bar and generous room service deliver consistently good, occasionally gourmet food with rotating daily specials. Variety is limited by the small footprint, and long waits or bland dishes surface during peak weeks.

Dining overview

Two gourmet restaurants (Andrea and La Ribera) offer buffet and à‑la‑carte options, plus 24‑hour in‑suite dining and premium beverages included.

Beach

Strong

Easy beach access with calm Banderas Bay water, though most guests gravitate to the pools rather than the sand. Weddings on the beach are a signature moment.

A long stretch of clean sand beach along Banderas Bay, swimmable with private resort access and sundeck areas.

Pools

Standout

Three pools — kids, quiet, and a swim-up bar — anchor the resort, with brand-new loungers and a pool team (Edwin, Marcelino, Carlos, Ramiro) named repeatedly by returning guests. This is where days are spent.

Editorial pool rating

Three large pools including a children’s pool and a river‑connected waterfall section, and a swim‑up bar at one pool.

What’s included

Strong

Suite-style rooms with kitchens, Costco Travel packages, and repeat-guest loyalty make the math work for most families. At holiday pricing near $10K, expectations rise and cracks in food and crowds show.

Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.

Amenities & activities

Couples

Good fit

An easy pick for anniversaries and destination weddings, with lush gardens, ocean-view suites, and a wedding team (Michele) that guests rave about. The vibe skews mellow-couples more than honeymoon-romantic.

Families

Ideal

A genuine family standout: full suites with kitchens sleep multi-generational groups, the kids club runs extended hours, and three pools (one dedicated to kids) keep everyone happy. Repeat families return year after year.

Peace & Quiet

Standout

Set in Marina Vallarta away from the Zona Romántica party scene, with an enforced 10pm quiet policy across the grounds. Peaceful by design without feeling sleepy.

On‑site spa and beauty salon, fitness center, three tennis courts, basketball court, kids’ club, nightly entertainment, miniature supermarket and boutique, business/convention facilities, travel desk, medical services and concierge.

What past guests say

“Came to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate me and my brother’s birthday mid October. We came and there was a hurricane that was supposed to hit the area but luckily- it changed path as we were there and it didnt come. It was a mixture or rainy days and sunny days. We loved it regardless. Even with just one restaurant being open due to the other one being renovated, we had such amazing service and the food is good being in an all inclusive hotel. We loved the different menus every night and we...”

“We made the mistake of doing the presentation, let's just say what a horrible experience it was. Dough is so aggressive and they will confuse the he'll out of you! Rude, condescending and overall just terrible, I honestly dont know how he sells anything! Rooms are from like the 1980s they wouldn't show us what they were trying to sell. Avoid the presentation at all cost!”

Know before you book

  • Pool culture dominates over beach
  • Not a wide, powder-sand postcard beach
  • Only two main restaurants, variety runs thin
  • Occasional long waits on à la carte orders

What you should know

What to Know

Book through Costco Travel for the best package and know the resort sits in Marina Vallarta, five minutes from the airport but isolated from downtown. Timeshare pressure and holiday upcharges are the two friction points to plan around.

Check‑in is 3 p.m. and check‑out is noon; babysitting, spa, salon, laundry, boutique incur extra charges; airport transfers available; free Wi‑Fi everywhere.
