Why travelers love it
“A budget‑friendly all‑inclusive just steps from Bavaro Beach with three pools.”
Guests consistently praise the friendly, attentive staff and accessible location near beach and town shops. Entertainment keeps evenings lively for all ages.
Food & drink
MixedBuffet-only dining that satisfies budget expectations but repeats itself fast, with limited variety and hygiene concerns on off days.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Bread and salads consistently fresh
- Kitchen accommodates dietary needs when asked
- Solid for the price point
Heads up
- Same menu rotation night after night
- No à la carte sit-down restaurants
- Food left uncovered with insects reported
Dining overview
One buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; one a‑la‑carte which is often not included in the all‑inclusive rate.
Beach
MixedBavaro Beach itself is beautiful, but you'll walk two minutes through another hotel to reach a small, crowded section with a smelly beach bar and seaweed in season.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Classic Bavaro sand and water a short walk away
- Two-minute stroll from most rooms
- Seaweed cleared on better days
Heads up
- Not beachfront: cross the road via another hotel
- Hotel's designated beach area is small and crowded
- Persistent 'dump' smell near the beach bar
- Seaweed accumulation reported
Narrow stretch of Bavaro Beach just steps away; beach club with loungers, volleyball and bar, but space is tight and seaweed can be an issue.
Pools
MixedThree small pools do the job for a dip and a drink but are frequently cited as unclean, over-chaired, and loud after dark.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Three pools distributed across the complex
- Pool area lively during the day
Heads up
- Pools need better cleaning
- Chair-saving and shortage of loungers
- Noise in pool area after 10 PM
Three outdoor pools: one small, one mid‑size with hot tub, stage and bar, and one larger quieter pool farther back. All surrounded by loungers and terraces.
Rooms & suites
Mostly clean but basic rooms in three categories (Standard, Superior, Suites). Decor is dated, walls paper‑thin, occasional maintenance issues reported.
Room details here are AI-assisted, compiled from the resort's own website and public sources. Categories and names change often — confirm the exact room when you book.
What’s included
StrongPriced as a budget stay and delivers on that promise, but anyone booking it as an advertised 4-star will feel misled.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Genuinely cheap all-inclusive rate
- Decent food and drinks for the price
- Close to restaurants and cafés outside the gate
Heads up
- Widely felt to be a 2-star experience, not 4-star
- Paid Superior upgrades don't always deliver a better room
- Safe charges $3/day on top of the all-inclusive
Package inclusions and upgrade access have not been collected yet. Confirm them for your room and dates when booking.
Amenities & activities
Couples
Not a fitNot built for romance: small rooms, buffet-only food, and nightly bar noise outside room blocks work against couples seeking intimacy.
medium confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Affordable for a quick getaway
- Friendly reception staff remembered by name
Heads up
- Not adults-only despite some listings suggesting it
- Open-air disco runs until 1 AM near rooms
- No proper sit-down dinner venues for a date night
Families
StretchA workable budget family pick with a playground, animation team, and pools, though tired rooms and beach-across-the-street logistics require flexibility.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- On-site children's playground
- Daily animation with Jhon and Angel engages kids
- Multiple pools spread across the complex
- Family-friendly pricing
Heads up
- Rooms often too small for families
- Beach requires walking through another property
- Housekeeping and maintenance inconsistent
Peace & Quiet
WeakRest is genuinely hard to come by: an open-air disco runs late, a back-lot workshop saws through the day, and street traffic filters in.
high confidence
What you'll enjoy
- Some guests describe the vibe as active but not rowdy
- Grounds themselves are compact and walkable
Heads up
- Bar/disco noise 11 PM to 1 AM near rooms
- Reported construction/workshop noise including weekends
- Thin walls and adjoining doors transmit sound
- Pool area loud past 10 PM
Includes three pools, beach club with bar and volleyball, gym, on-site shop, tour desk, barbecue area, snack bar, laundry services, and free self parking.

What past guests say
“Rooms in need of serious repairs. Toilet door handles full of rust, the floor isn't swept, ours was full of sand, and behind the curtain were belongings left behind by other guests. The only good thing about the room is that they all have air conditioning. The food isn't as bad as many reviews say. The food is good and has a lot of variety, plus they have themed nights with Mexican and Asian food, for example. People just have to understand that it's regional food and not their own...”
★★★☆☆
“The hotel is very good. It exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent. The food was very good; they have a great staff and good chefs. The staff was very friendly. The pools were great; they had three pools in excellent condition. Just a few steps from the beach. The price was excellent. In my opinion, it's a 10/10. They could improve the facilities a little; although they are well-maintained, they are noticeably older. But I would definitely return.”
★★★★★
“I'm currently staying at this hotel. And I don't have basic services like electricity and water. How is that even possible? For the price, I wasn't expecting much. But since I was only going to use it as a bedroom, I didn't think it was too bad. However, the overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired. There was a water leak in the bathroom from the air conditioner, which I put up with because, well, I was only going to sleep there. The common areas generally look worn out; you don't feel...”
★☆☆☆☆
“Customer service 10/10 Food 10/10 Pool water: Salty Bathroom water: Salty The power goes out and there's no backup generator. The water also shuts off occasionally. I give it 3 stars.”
★★★☆☆
“Lower the volume on the evening show, and it should end earlier, as it's impossible to rest in the rooms facing that direction due to the noise. That lowered my hotel rating. I must commend the attentiveness of all the staff.”
